Food and Fashion Are My Passion
It’s that time of year again, The Cannes Film Festival opened today! The southern French venue, along with the Venice Film Festival mark my two favorite film fetes. Sure I love the others as well (Sundance, Tribeca, etc), but nothing compares to the high-fashion we see at Cannes and Venice.
Diane Kruger whose style I adore, was one of the first arrivals today, looking as marvelous as ever!
Daring Style of the Week—Blue Nails
My current manicure is Essie’s Limited Edition Barefoot in Blue, but it is very similar to the hue on the top left, worn by Victoria Beckham
It is easy to see why everyone is chatting away about Lily Collins. Not only is she the star in Mirror Mirror, but she has incredible style. Lily has a fresh and young take on sophisticated fashions and that is now making her a style icon.
I think her makeup choices for public appearances are just as elegant as her style choices. Here, she showcases a look that is fresh for spring because it is neutral and can be chosen when one is wearing a bright shade and wants their wardrobe piece to stand out.
One of my favorite style icons is Charlotte Casiraghi. I like her fashion choices, particularly because she focuses on classic designs and never overdoes her look.
A simple red bag complements her similarly-hued espadrilles and brings together her spring inspired wardrobe. Being at an outdoors event means that jewelry should be low-key and so a chic pair of shades completes her look.
